There comes a time when the rhythm we have known begins to change. Cycles shift. Sleep can become less predictable. The body may suddenly seem to have its own ideas about temperature. Emotions can feel closer to the surface, and the familiar landscape of womanhood begins to look a little different.
Beyond the Moon was created for this threshold.
A cooling, nourishing herbal blend for the changing seasons of a woman's life, bringing together herbs traditionally used to support the body through times of transition, occasional warmth, restless nights, and changing rhythms.
This isn't about turning back the clock.
It's about tending to yourself where you are now.
Oat straw and lemon balm create a gentle, nourishing foundation. Red clover and schisandra bring herbs traditionally associated with the changing hormonal landscape and the occasional warmth and sweating that can accompany it. Sage adds another classic cooling herb, while hops lends a quiet, settling quality. Lemongrass brings brightness and balance to the blend.
The result is a smooth, refreshing cup with a soft herbal character, gentle citrus notes, a subtle berry-like tartness, and just enough earthy bitterness to give it depth.
Beautiful warm. Especially lovely chilled.
For the changing rhythms.
For the heat that comes and goes.
For the nights that aren't quite what they used to be.
For the woman you are becoming.
THE HERBS
Oat Straw — A gentle, nourishing tonic traditionally valued for supporting the nervous system and replenishing the body during times when life—and sleep—feel a little less steady.
Lemon Balm — Bright and calming, lemon balm has a long history of traditional use for occasional tension, restlessness, and those evenings when your mind doesn't seem to know it's time to quiet down.
Red Clover — A classic herb of women's herbalism, red clover has traditionally been used during the changing hormonal seasons of a woman's life. It is especially at home in blends created for the warmth, sweating, and other shifting sensations that can accompany this transition.
Sage — Earthy and aromatic, sage is traditionally considered a cooling herb and has a long history of use for occasional sweating and warmth. Here, it brings both its traditional purpose and its distinctive herbal character to the blend.
Schisandra Berry — One of the more unusual herbs in this blend, schisandra has a long history of use in traditional Chinese medicine as a tonic and for excessive sweating. A small clinical study in women has also suggested potential benefit for menopausal symptoms including hot flushes and sweating.
Hops — Used in a small amount, hops brings a gentle earthy bitterness and has traditionally been valued for its relaxing and settling qualities. It gives this blend a little more support for the evenings when the changing rhythms of this season make rest elusive.
Lemongrass — Bright and refreshing, lemongrass rounds out the blend with a clean, light note that keeps the deeper, earthier herbs from becoming too heavy.
